With Facebook’s latest News Feed/Live Feed homepage changes, has come a wealth of privacy concerns. Virtually everything now do on Facebook, appears on ALL of your friends News Feeds. I don’t know about you, but I don’t need to know Bob next door joined the group “Wild Hot Sex”. That’s just “Too Much Information” for me!

The following steps to take in order to reduce the information about you that is posted on your friends feeds, should be combined with the additional privacy settings we showed how to edit in our How To Set Your Facebook News Feed And Wall Settings post from yesterday.

Step 1 – Click on Settings–>Application Settings link from your top menu:

Step 2 – Find the application you want to edit. I would first start with Groups. Click on Edit Settings and then Additional Permissions.

Step 3 – Change the permissions to what suits your privacy needs.

Step 4 – Repeat the above for each of the applications you want changed. You decide what your friends see – not Facebook.
